I remember this day very well. You didn’t have your license yet and you bugged me every day to let you drive me around. I could feel it inside me, the panic, the worry, the deep knowing that you were about to take off and spread your wings and fly. It was like taking my heart and putting a car underneath it and sending it off into the unknown with prayers of safe returns.

Now only a few short years later it seems you’ve been driving for such a long time. And I recall, there was one piece of advice I feel I shoulda said…

Life will pull out in front of you sometimes baby girl…don’t forget to look ahead.
